Meadows 04:03
Does the wind Blow through the trees When you close your eyes? And does your heart almost skip a beat when its in your sight? And does your soul almost feel complete when you see those skies up above, way above the meadows in your mind? Way up high way above the meadows in your mind. Block, block it out. Pull down the shades to your soul. You don't have to look. At the world When it gets this cold. And its colors are gone cast your eyes up to the clouds up above way up above the meadows in your mind. Way up high Way above the meadows in your mind.

Modern Waves 03:38
As is his habit he's sitting with the TV on watching static and old reruns And he's seen them all before so he knows what will happen next No surprises and no regrets His family comes to visit him asks about his medicine but they seem so tense Why they have to scream at him? he's only hard of hearing them when they make no sense But the good old days come through nice and warm on the modern waves that cut right through the storm when he tries real hard he can tune them in and be transported back to when life made sense He turns up the volume to block out the traffic sounds from the highway they just laid down on his little country road where he's live for half a century for its peace and tranquility but everything is faster now not just the speed limit his kids with their computers and grandkids on their internets but the good old days come through nice and warm on the modern waves that cut right through the storm when he tries real hard he can tune them in and be transported back to when life made sense

Evergreen 03:03
When I saw you underneath the arms of trees it's the prettiest thing I've seen Evergreen When you sat down next to me I could hardly breathe down with the rock and leaves Evergreen Chorus: Who would ever believe When they'd all fall you'd be standing with me? Who would ever conceive In a world that's gone grey You would always be... Evergreen? Through the fire and the frost through the victory and the loss through the pleasure and the pain you've remained with me like the air I breathe and the ground underneath how can you always be Evergreen?
5.
for forty days we were blessed blessed by the wind but then it just stopped and our spirits all dropped we felt betrayed as if by a friend By the winds betrayed Adrift, in our final days and we slip further further into our graves I admit we were all Afraid We rush in too much we take on a weight that's too great and find ourselves crushed into dust at the whims of a gust before we can know it's started to blow it's already scattering us The gulls awoke us on the fifty seventh day We knew that land could not be very far away The winds were strong and blew us towards the beach But we hit a rock and had to stop before it ever could be reached For a hundred days we sat on this rock and tried to get off in a million useless ways, but we've stayed in place
